Early Summer Fun!

The past couple weeks have been super busy. We were at the beach for a fun long weekend and then Highlands, NC for my dear friend Tricia's wedding.

These pics are not in perfect order but here it goes!
The amazing golf course the boys played on Saturday before the wedding. Heath said this is one of the most beautiful courses he has ever seen. We went back out on Sunday and rode around with my parents. It was amazing!

Here is the beautiful bride! The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The food and flowers were FABULOUS!

Lazy Day at Home and Nursery

So since this is one of my last weeks at home I thought I should document more than usual. Today was a bit chilly so I put Mary Clark in her PJ's for a lazy day. This is her in mid sentence or coo... she is so vocal these days and I love it. I'll hear a little yell from the other room, come running in and she is just smiling..
She is so pretty to me, but of course I am partial!

Just hanging out with her lamb "Mary".

I wanted to document her nursery so one day when I turn this into a book I'll have the pics here as well. Apologies if you saw the kodak gallery before she arrived.
This cross is from her Aunt Rebecca in Austin...

Her changing table which was mine as a baby...

Linen pillows my Mom made, "Nana".

Fairy prints...

Her big girl bed one day that matches her crib...

Glider and crib

Her crib and you can't tell but the fabric above has her initials monogrammed in pink.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was so much fun.. just a casual day at home. Mary Clark has been a little fussy this week; probably bc her Mother has been eating Publix Frozen Yogurt for lunch all week in mass quantities-Lindsey and Jen my "cousins in law" are dying laughing right now-so we didn't make it to church which is my only regret. We had my parents and the Miners (Caitlin and Dewayne) over for a late lunch. We had a fabulous rosemary chicken dish Caitlin prepared, a yummy salad from Mom and couscous courtesy me.. super hard.. haha. One of my best friends Christopher serves it quite often and I love it. We had wine and beer so we skipped out on the dessert. It was a yummy lunch and a great afternoon.

Here are the flowers Caitlin brought me.. My "first child"

My precious angel.. only two weeks until I am back at work.. I am cherishing every minute. (AK she is wearing the gorgeous gown you gave her.. she finally fits into it!)

Four girls..my poor Dad.. such a trooper for almost 42 years with my mom, 30 plus years with two daughters and then his first grandchild... another GIRL!

Sweet girl..

We ate lunch on the patio...it was such a nice day!

Quick Update

Just a quick update! We are headed to the beach next weekend and the mountains in late May so I'll have some more fun posts then..

I have been working in the yard.. which I am enjoying more and more..

My hydrangeas are blooming! When we first looked at our house last year I was so excited to have several hydrangea shrubs in the back yard.

This is a new one my Mom planted in honor of Mary Clark's birth...

Mary Clark has discovered her Lovie.. it helps keep that passy in her mouth!

Mary Clark has started sleeping from about 11 pm to 6 am... after her morning feeding this is what we do... Henry never misses a chance to snuggle.

We had her 2 month check up last week, 9lbs and 11 ounces-30th percentile, 24 inches -90th percentile and her head was in the 70th percentile. So she's long and skinny like her daddy! She also had her first set of shots... TRAUMATIC! I almost cried.. she cried like I have never heard her before. She woke up screaming/crying with a fever that night.. after a little tylenol and a good nights rest she was better. It took me a few days to get over it :).

If we rig up her bumbo seat she can sit up... she looks like a big girl!

We tried out her swing... she wasn't too crazy about it but we'll try again later.

She loves her lamb that Aunt Julia gave her... so soft and cuddly..

Henry and I are trying to get back in shape.. he is a big fan of yoga :)

Working extra hard...

Henry on post out back, we call him the "Chief of Security" around here.
